Point Pinole - May '25

return to index

On the 2nd Wednesday in May, seven of us met in Davis & then drove to Pinole Point Regional Park, where we strolled around for a few hours. We were eight once my former co-worker friend & hiking mate Andrew came from Oakland to join us.

With endless open space views & giant eucalyptus woods, this is an atmospheric and somewhat 'timeless' place. Calm bay air is clear, and we had a good view across San Pablo Bay of Mt Tam & Marin County.

note - on a pc or laptop you can zoom into any part of a photo, but alas, not on a smartphone.

About 20 minutes after the last photo was taken, the re-joined group group came upon a small beach where we could sit on a long Eucalyptus log, for lunch w/a great view. We walked at least 4 miles.

Because of endless fresh air, sea level scenery, and it's proximity to home, this park is becoming a group favorite.
