In mid-September, a small group of us did some hiking in the Sierras near Graeagle, California, at around 6,000 ft. elevation.
Graeagle is a remote & tiny town. All of us came away impressed with the natural beauty of the area, especially the lakes.
We stayed at two 2 BR cabins at Graeagle Meadows, for 3 or 4 nights, getting in three days of walking.
